AN ACT CONCERNING THE FULL REIMBURSEMENT OF A SCHOOL
DISTRICT'S EXCESS COST FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-76g of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
a local or regional board of education shall be reimbursed in an amount 2
equal to the total excess cost for special education and to remove the cap 3
so that the grant will be fully funded. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To provide the necessary funding for special education costs incurred
by school districts.
