25 | 25 | That chapter 172 of the general statutes be amended to (1) revise the 1 | |
26 | 26 | formula used to calculate a town's equalization aid grant by increasing 2 | |
27 | 27 | the weight for English language learners to twenty-five per cent, 3 | |
28 | 28 | increasing the concentrated poverty weight to fifteen per cent, reducing 4 | |
29 | 29 | the concentrated poverty threshold to sixty per cent, and fully phasing-5 | |
30 | 30 | in such revised formula for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, (2) 6 | |
31 | 31 | replace the existing funding levels for interdistrict magnet schools, state 7 | |
32 | 32 | charter schools, regional agricultural science and technology education 8 | |
33 | 33 | centers, and the open choice program with a new weighted funding 9 | |
34 | 34 | amount per pupil based on student need, and (3) repeal the charging of 10 | |
