AN ACT CREATING THE MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FUND. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 
five million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the 4 
Department of Economic and Community Development for the purpose 5 
of providing grants-in-aid to local and regional boards of education for 6 
equipment to facilitate advanced manufacturing instruction programs 7 
in high schools and middle schools. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To create and support advance manufacturing instruction in public high 
schools and middle schools, and to create opportunities for 
Connecticut's students while also filling a need in the workforce for a 
key industry in the state.
