AN ACT PROHIBITING THE HIRING OF CONSULTANTS TO MAKE
PUBLIC POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit a state agency or 1
constitutional officer from hiring a consultant to make public policy 2
recommendations, including, but not limited to, during the duration of 3
a public health or civil preparedness declaration of emergency. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the state from hiring consultants to make public policy
recommendations.
