AN ACT DESIGNATING "THE NUTMEG STATE" AS THE OFFICIAL
STATE NICKNAME.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 33 of the general statutes be amended to repeal section 1
3-110a of the general statutes designating the state as "The Constitution 2
State" and to designate "The Nutmeg State" as the official state 3
nickname. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To more accurately reflect history and recognize one of Connecticut's
original nicknames.
