AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS AS POLLING PLACES ON ELECTION DAY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a town from 1 using a public school building as a polling place on election day while 2 school is in session. 3 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit the use of public schools as polling places on election day while schools are in session in order to protect students' safety due to the influx of foot traffic within schools.
