AN ACT CONCERNING A SPOUSE'S ENTITLEMENT TO A JUDGE'S
RETIREMENT SALARY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 51-51 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
the person who was married to a judge at the time of the judge's 2
retirement shall be the spouse who shall be entitled to the judge's 3
statutorily prescribed retirement salary upon the judge's death. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To financially protect a person who is married to a judge at the time of
the judge's retirement.
