| 19 | 19 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
| 20 | 20 | Assembly convened: | |

| 22 | 22 | That title 33 of the general statutes be amended to require that any 1 | |
| 23 | 23 | business corporation that has its principal place of business in this state 2 | |
| 24 | 24 | shall: (1) Disclose in state filings the racial, ethnic and gender diversity 3 | |
| 25 | 25 | of its boards of directors; (2) have at least one director from an 4 | |
| 26 | 26 | underrepresented community on its board of directors, by either filling 5 | |
| 27 | 27 | an open seat on the board of directors with such person or by adding a 6 | |
| 28 | 28 | seat to the board of directors that is filled by such person; and (3) engage 7 | |
| 29 | 29 | in ongoing education, reporting and compliance to fulfill the goal of 8 | |
| 30 | 30 | equitable representation on its corporate boards. 9 | |
