AN ACT CONCERNING THE PAYMENT OF CHILD SUPPORT BY A
PARENT WHO IS AWARDED SOLE CUSTODY OF A MINOR CHILD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 46b-84 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a 1
court from ordering that a parent who is awarded sole legal custody of 2
a minor child pay child support for such child to the noncustodial 3
parent. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit a court from ordering a parent who is awarded sole legal
custody of a minor child to pay child support for such child to the
noncustodial parent.
