1818 AN ACT IMPOSING A MORATORIUM ON THE INITIATION OF
1919 CERTAIN FORECLOSURE ACTIONS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2323 That chapter 846 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
2424 during the duration of the public health emergency attributable to the 2
2525 COVID-19 pandemic, no lender may pursue a foreclosure action against 3
2626 a mortgagor who is unable to pay the mortgage because the mortgagor's 4
2727 tenants are not paying rent and cannot be evicted from the mortgaged 5
2828 premises because of the eviction moratorium. 6
2929 Statement of Purpose:
3030 To protect landlords from foreclosure actions who are not being paid
3131 rent.
