AN ACT ELIMINATING UNDUE DELAY IN THE PAYMENT OF
WORKERS' COMPENSATION AWARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to assess a penalty of two 1
hundred fifty dollars per day on a losing party in a workers' 2
compensation action when the losing party is found to be in violation of 3
not paying the winning party due to undue delay. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate undue delay in the payment of workers' compensation
awards.
