2121 AN ACT REQUIRING LONG -TERM CARE FACILITIES TO DEVELOP A
2222 PLAN FOR RESPONDING TO OUTBREAKS OF INFECTIOUS
2323 DISEASE AND OTHER SITUATIONS THAT RESULT IN A REDUCTION

2525 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2626 Assembly convened:

2828 That the general statutes be amended to require all providers of 1
2929 congregate long-term care facilities to develop and submit to the 2
3030 Departments of Public Health, Mental Health and Addiction Services or 3
3131 Developmental Services, as appropriate, for approval, an infectious 4
3232 disease outbreak plan that is customized to each facility on national 5
3333 best-practice standards for infection control, that includes, among other 6
3434 clinical and administrative components, documentation of the means 7
3535 through which the facility will secure and provide orientation to 8
3636 supplemental or replacement staff in the event that an infectious disease 9
3737 outbreak or another emergent or nonemergent situation that reduces the 10
