AN ACT CONCERNING RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF NURSING
HOME STAFF.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) promote a partnership 1
between the Department of Public Health, the Service Employees 2
International Union 1199NE Training Fund, nursing home associations 3
and other stakeholders to create recruitment and training programs for 4
certified nurse's assistants and other nursing home staff, and (2) partner 5
with state community colleges and current nursing home staff to 6
develop and offer affordable courses for licensed practical nurses, 7
certified nurse's assistants and other nursing home staff. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To create recruitment and training programs for certified nurse's
assistants and other nursing home staff.
