AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SAFE HARBOR FOR ALTERNATIVE
HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a safe harbor in the 1
state that permits alternative health care practitioners who are not 2
licensed, certified or registered in the state to provide traditional health 3
care services, to provide, without compensation, certain alternative 4
health care services, including, but not limited to, aromatherapy, 5
energetic healing, healing touch, herbology or herbalism, meditation 6
and mind body practices, polarity therapy, reflexology and Reiki. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a safe harbor for alternative health care practitioners to
provide certain alternative health care services without compensation.
