AN ACT PERMITTING PERSONS SIXTEEN YEARS OLD TO DONATE 
BLOOD. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 19a-285a of the general statutes be amended to permit 1 
persons who are sixteen years of age to donate blood with written 2 
authorization from a parent or guardian. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To permit persons sixteen years old to donate blood.
