AN ACT CREATING A FIREARMS SELF -RESTRICTION REGISTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 529 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection to develop 2
and implement, no later than July 1, 2022, a secure Internet-based 3
platform that would allow any person to add his or her name to a 4
registry that would prohibit such person from purchasing or possessing 5
firearms. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To create a Connecticut No Gun Registry, which would allow a person
to register to restrict his or her ability to purchase or possess firearms in
this state.
