AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SCHOOL
VOUCHER PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to authorize a 1
local or regional board of education to establish a school voucher 2
program that distributes vouchers, which are equal to the average per 3
pupil cost for such board for the prior fiscal year, to the parents and 4
guardians of students under the jurisdiction of such board for the 5
purpose of allowing such students to attend any public school in the 6
state. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize boards of education to establish a school voucher program.
