AN ACT REQUIRING ONE FULL YEAR OF CIVICS EDUCATION AS
PART OF THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (c) of section 10-221a of the general statutes be 1
amended to require students to satisfactorily complete one credit of 2
civics in order to graduate from high school. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that students have a basic understanding of civics before they
graduate high school.
