AN ACT REQUIRING THE PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY
AUTHORITY TO ADOPT REGULATIONS FOR NATURAL BARRIER
PRESERVATION AND MAINTENANCE BY UTILITY COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Public Utilities 1
Regulatory Authority to adopt regulations governing the standards and 2
procedures for a utility company to maintain and preserve natural 3
barriers, including trees or other vegetation, between such company's 4
facilities and any residential neighbors to such facility. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to adopt regulations
requiring a utility company to preserve and maintain natural barriers
between such company's facility and residential neighbors to such
facility.
