AN ACT CONCERNING INTERIM APPOINTMENT OF DEPARTMENT
HEADS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 4-7 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require 1
interim appointments of nominations of department heads by the 2
Governor be submitted to the committee on executive nominations, and 3
(2) authorize said committee to hold a hearing and vote on such 4
nomination during the interim. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To delegate to the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee
the same power to approve interim appointments of department heads
as the Judiciary Committee has for judges.
