AN ACT INCREASING TRANSPARENCY FOR CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require a charitable 1 organization registered with the Department of Consumer Protection 2 pursuant to section 21a-190b of the general statutes, when engaging in 3 solicitation, or upon request from any person, to disclose its registration 4 number and display such number in a conspicuous manner on all 5 printed advertisements. "Charitable organization", "charitable purpose", 6 "person" and "solicit" have the same meanings as defined in section 21a-7 190a of the general statutes. 8 Statement of Purpose: To increase transparency for charitable organizations.
