AN ACT ALLOWING SMALL FARMS TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS AT WHOLESALE OR BY CONSIGNMENT TO OTHER FARM STORES OR FARMERS’ MARKETS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to exempt small farm kitchens 1 from the requirement of obtaining a food manufacturing establishment 2 license from the Department of Consumer Protection if the products 3 produced are sold wholesale or via consignment to other farm stores or 4 farmers' markets. 5 Statement of Purpose: To allow small farms to sell their products at wholesale or by consignment to other farm stores or farmers' markets.
