AN ACT CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR RISK OF INJURY TO A
CHILD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 53-21 the general statutes be amended to require that a 1
person convicted of risk of injury to a child must serve thirty consecutive 2
days of imprisonment, which term may not be suspended or reduced in 3
any manner. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To protect children by increasing the penalty for risk of injury to a child.
