AN ACT PROTECTING REFEREES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to provide greater 1
penalties for the assault of any sports official at any level of competition, 2
within the confines or immediate vicinity of the athletic facility at which 3
the athletic contest occurred in which a sports official was an active 4
participant. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To protect officials from assault or attack.
