22 | 22 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
23 | 23 | Assembly convened: | |

25 | 25 | That: (1) Section 5-278 of the general statutes be amended to change 1 | |
26 | 26 | "the terms of such agreement or arbitration award shall prevail" to "the 2 | |
27 | 27 | general statute or special act, or regulation adopted by any state agency, 3 | |
28 | 28 | shall prevail", and (2) section 7-474 of the general statutes be amended 4 | |
29 | 29 | to change "the terms of such agreement shall prevail" to "the charter, 5 | |
30 | 30 | special act, ordinance, rules or regulations adopted by the municipal 6 | |
31 | 31 | employer or its agents such as a personnel board or civil service 7 | |
32 | 32 | commission, or any general statute directly regulating the hours of work 8 | |
33 | 33 | of policemen or firemen, or any general statute providing for the 9 | |
34 | 34 | method or manner of covering or removing employees from coverage 10 | |
35 | 35 | under the Connecticut municipal employees' retirement system or 11 | |
36 | 36 | under the Policemen and Firemen Survivors' Benefit Fund, the terms of 12 | |
