2020 AN ACT CREATING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE INCLUSION OF

2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That the general statutes be amended to create a task force to study 1
2727 the inclusion of self-employed workers in the unemployment insurance 2
2828 program and to examine ways in which the self-employed, including 3
2929 "gig" workers, freelancers and independent contractors with stable 4
3030 earnings histories would be allowed to opt into the traditional 5
3131 unemployment insurance program. 6
3232 Statement of Purpose:
