AN ACT CONCERNING THE ANNUAL CANVASS OF ELECTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the 1
Secretary of the State shall (1) annually complete a canvass of each 2
residence in each municipality, update the voter registration 3
information for any elector who was able to be confirmed from such 4
canvass and maintain a record of any elector who was not able to be so 5
confirmed, and (2) not mail an unsolicited absentee ballot application to 6
any elector who was not able to be so confirmed. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Secretary of the State to complete the annual canvass of
residences in municipalities and prohibit the Secretary from mailing
absentee ballots to any elector not confirmed from such canvass.
