AN ACT EXPANDING FREE PUBLIC EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to expand the 1
provision of free public education in the state to include (1) preschool 2
for four-year-olds, (2) associate degree and bachelor's degree programs 3
offered at public institutions of higher education, and (3) trade 4
certificate programs. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that Connecticut residents are fully educated and prepared
for civic engagement and workforce participation.
