32 | 32 | | That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) identify 1 |

33 | 33 | | organizations and institutions best suited to help provide to 2 |

34 | 34 | | incarcerated individuals information and other resources concerning 3 |

35 | 35 | | candidates and policy issues, (2) require local election officials to 4 |
---|
36 | 36 | | develop plans to assist eligible incarcerated individuals in both 5 |
---|
37 | 37 | | registering to vote and actually voting, (3) require the Secretary of the 6 |
---|
38 | 38 | | State and the Commissioner of Correction to coordinate on efforts to 7 |
---|
39 | 39 | | facilitate voter education, identify eligible voters and develop 8 |
---|
40 | 40 | | procedures for supervised ballot submission, (4) provide that no person 9 |
---|
41 | 41 | | who voted while incarcerated may be held liable for failing to withdraw 10 |
---|
42 | 42 | | such person's absentee ballot or voting in person after submitting such 11 |

57 | 57 | | formerly incarcerated individuals in the implementation of such voting 22 |
