1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THERAPY DOGS FOR PERSONS WITH
1919 MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That the general statutes be amended to (1) allow for the certification 1
2424 of a therapy dog used by an individual with mental health needs and 2
2525 (2) afford such individual all of the rights and protections afforded to an 3
2626 individual with other health-related needs who uses a service dog. 4
2727 Statement of Purpose:
2828 To ensure that individuals with mental health needs may have their
2929 therapy dogs certified and afford such individuals the same rights and
3030 protections afforded to individuals with other health-related needs who
3131 use a service dog.
