| 25 | 25 | | That (1) section 29-305 of the general statutes be amended to 1 |

| 26 | 26 | | authorize a member of a fire unit, in addition to a local fire marshal, to 2 |

| 27 | 27 | | conduct inspections of buildings and facilities in accordance with the 3 |

| 28 | 28 | | provisions of subsection (b) of section 29-305 of the general statutes, (2) 4 |

| 29 | 29 | | chapter 541 of the general statutes be amended to establish a pilot 5 |

| 30 | 30 | | program to train and permit a lower class of fire inspectors to conduct 6 |

| 31 | 31 | | inspections of residential buildings designed to be occupied by at least 7 |
