1818 AN ACT CONCERNING INSPECTIONS BY LOCAL FIRE MARSHALS
1919 AND A DISPOSAL AND REPLACEMENT PROGRAM FOR
2020 FIREFIGHTING FOAM THAT CONTAINS PERFLUOROALKYL OR
2121 POLYFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That (1) section 29-305 of the general statutes be amended to 1
2626 authorize a member of a fire unit, in addition to a local fire marshal, to 2
2727 conduct inspections of buildings and facilities in accordance with the 3
2828 provisions of subsection (b) of section 29-305 of the general statutes, (2) 4
2929 chapter 541 of the general statutes be amended to establish a pilot 5
3030 program to train and permit a lower class of fire inspectors to conduct 6
3131 inspections of residential buildings designed to be occupied by at least 7
3232 three families but not more than six families, and (3) the general statutes 8
3333 be amended to establish a state-funded disposal and replacement 9
3434 program for firefighting foam that contains a perfluoroalkyl or 10
3535 polyfluoroalkyl substance. 11
3636 Statement of Purpose:
