26 | 27 | | Environmental Protection shall study whether to recognize a municipal 2 |

27 | 28 | | energy security authority within the state for purposes of designing, 3 |

28 | 29 | | funding, supplying, installing and servicing municipal microgrids to 4 |

29 | 30 | | achieve: (1) Energy security objectives; (2) energy affordability; (3) 5 |
---|
30 | 31 | | energy resilience, as defined in section 16-243y of the general statutes; 6 |
---|
31 | 32 | | (4) carbon reduction; (5) critical infrastructure security hardening, as 7 |
---|
32 | 33 | | defined in section 12-39p of the general statutes; and (6) local workforce 8 |
---|
33 | 34 | | development in cooperation with federal energy security policy and 9 |

34 | 35 | | laws. On or before January 15, 2022, the commissioner shall report the 10 |

35 | 36 | | findings of such study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-11 |
