Explanation 
The bill results in an annual cost of approximately $84,780, 
beginning in FY 22, associated with a part-time Program Development 
Coordinator within the State Department of Education, with a salary of 
$60,000 and corresponding fringe benefits of $24,780. The newly 
established position would be responsible for establishing and 
maintaining the Purple Star School Program, including providing in-
service training and professional development for staff members on 
issues related to military-connected students. 
House "A" makes various procedural changes that do not result in a 
fiscal impact.

The fringe benefit costs for most state employees are budgeted centrally in accounts 
administered by the Comptroller. The estimated active employee fringe benefit cost
