2020 AN ACT CONCERNING AN ELECTRIC GENERATOR

2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 Section 1. (Effective from passage) On or before September 1, 2021, the 1
2626 Public Utilities Regulatory Authority shall initiate a proceeding to 2
2727 consider the implementation of a program allowing customers of an 3
2828 electric distribution company, as defined in section 16-1 of the general 4
2929 statutes, to apply with such company for reimbursement of an electric 5
3030 generator purchased due to a medical necessity, as determined by the 6
3131 authority. Such program shall (1) establish a procedure for customers of 7
3232 such company to offer proof of such purchase and such medical 8
3333 necessity for such generator, and (2) prevent the recovery of costs 9
3434 incurred by an electric distribution company pursuant to this section. 10
3535 On or before January 15, 2022, the authority shall report, in accordance 11
3636 with section 11-4a of the general statutes, the results of such proceeding 12
3737 to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 13
