2020 AN ACT CONCERNING TH E FILING OF A CIVIL ACTION FOR
2121 MALICIOUS PROSECUTIO N.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2021, and applicable to any cause of 1
2626 action arising from a criminal proceeding terminating prior to, on or after said 2
2727 date) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 52-577 of the general 3
2828 statutes, no action to recover damages for malicious prosecution may be 4
2929 brought later than three years from the date of the termination of the 5
3030 criminal proceeding that is the subject of such action. 6
3131 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
3232 sections:
