LCO No. 7901 1 of 2 General Assembly Raised Bill No. 6684 January Session, 2021 LCO No. 7901 Referred to Committee on GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION AND ELECTIONS Introduced by: (GAE) AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF A PA RCEL OF STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF WILTON. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1 of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Transportation shall convey 2 to Hoffman Properties, LLC, a parcel of land located in the town of 3 Wilton, at a cost equal to one million three hundred forty-five thousand 4 dollars, plus the administrative costs of making such conveyance. Said 5 parcel of land has an area of approximately 3.15 acres and is identified 6 as the parcel shown as "RELEASE AREA" on a map entitled 7 "Compilation Plan, Town of Wilton, Map Showing Land Released to 8 ____ by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, 9 Danbury Road (U.S. Route 7), scale 1"=40', October 2019, Mark D. Rolfe, 10 P.E., Chief Engineer-Bureau of Engineering and Construction". The 11 conveyance shall be subject to the approval of the State Properties 12 Review Board. 13 (b) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the 14 Raised Bill No. 6684 LCO No. 7901 2 of 2 conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 15 receives a proposed agreement from the Department of Transportation. 16 The land shall remain under the care and control of said department 17 until a conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this 18 section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or 19 instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section. The 20 Commissioner of Transportation shall have the sole responsibility for all 21 other incidents of such conveyance. 22 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Statement of Purpose: To convey a parcel of state land in the town of Wilton.
