ROJAS, 9 th Dist. SEN. DUFF, 25 th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING THE DECLA RATION AND RENEWAL O F CIVIL PREPAREDNESS AND PUB LIC HEALTH EMERGENCI ES BY THE GOVERNOR. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. Subsection (b) of special act 21-2 is amended to read as 1 follows (Effective from passage): 2 (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 19a-131a and 28-9 of 3 the general statutes, from [the effective date of this section and until 4 [May 20, 2021] March 31, 2021, and through July 20, 2021, the Governor 5 is hereby authorized to renew said public health and civil preparedness 6 emergency declarations through [May 20, 2021] July 20, 2021. The 7 provisions of this subsection shall not limit the Governor, or any 8 department head, state agency or municipality from exercising any 9 authority granted under said sections of the general statutes, from [the 10 effective date of this section through May 20, 2021] March 31, 2021, and 11 Bill No. LCO No. 8212 2 of 2 through July 20, 2021, provided the exercise of such authority is done in 12 accordance with said sections of the general statutes. After [May 20, 13 2021] July 20, 2021, nothing herein shall affect or limit any authority 14 conveyed pursuant to section 19a-131a or 28-9 of the general statutes. 15 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage SA 21-2, (b)
