LANOUE, 45th Dist. RESOLUTION PROPOSING A STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT CONCERNING THE TERM OF OFFICE OF MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. Resolved by this Assembly: That sections 8 and 10 of article third of the state Constitution be 1 amended to increase the term of office for state representatives and state 2 senators from two years to four years and that section 10 of article third 3 of the state Constitution be amended to provide that no senator or 4 representative shall serve more than two four-year terms in such office 5 Statement of Purpose: To elect members of the general assembly to four-year terms and to limit members of the general assembly to two four-year terms in the same office.
