RESOLUTION AMENDING THE JOINT RULES CONCERNING THE
APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRPERSONS.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That the joint rules of the Senate and the House of Representatives be 1
amended to require that for each joint standing committee of the 2
General Assembly, one chairperson be of the majority party and one 3
chairperson be of the minority party. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To amend the joint rules to require legislative committees to be chaired
by a chairperson of each party.
