AN ACT CONCERNING ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR ABSENTEE
BALLOTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 145 of the general statutes be amended to create an 1
electronic portal on the Secretary of the State's Internet web site through 2
which any eligible elector may submit a request for an absentee ballot, 3
which request will then be transmitted within twenty-four hours to the 4
town clerk of the town of such elector's residence for the mailing out of 5
such absentee ballot to such elector by such town clerk. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow any eligible elector to electronically request an absentee ballot
through the Secretary of the State's Internet web site.
