AN ACT CONCERNING CRUMBLING CONCRETE FOUNDATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Extend the 1
sunset date for Connecticut Foundation Solutions Indemnity Company, 2
Inc.; and (2) require the Insurance Commissioner to study methods 3
available to accelerate responses by insurers to claims under 4
homeowners insurance policies for foundation deterioration due to the 5
presence of pyrrhotite. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To: (1) Extend the sunset date for Connecticut Foundation Solutions
Indemnity Company, Inc.; and (2) require the Insurance Commissioner
to study methods available to accelerate responses by insurers to claims
under homeowners insurance policies for foundation deterioration due
to the presence of pyrrhotite.
