AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
SEVERE OBESITY TREATMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require health 1
insurance coverage for certain surgical procedures performed, and 2
certain outpatient prescription drugs prescribed, to treat severe obesity. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require health insurance coverage for certain surgical procedures
performed, and certain outpatient prescription drugs prescribed, to
treat severe obesity.
