AN ACT CONCERNING RESIDENTIAL WELLS CONTAMINATED BY
ROAD SALTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Energy and Environmental Protection to develop a long-term solution 2
for the diversion of road salt from residences with wells contaminated 3
by unsafe levels of road salt and to provide compensation to such 4
homeowners for such contamination. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce contamination of residential wells.
