AN ACT CONCERNING THE DIVERSION OF PERSONS FROM THE
JUDICIAL SYSTEM TO THE CUSTODY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That titles 46b and 54 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
that any person in the care and custody of the Department of 2
Developmental Services be diverted at the time of an arrest from the 3
judicial system back to the direct custody of the Department of 4
Developmental Services. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that any person in the care and custody of the Department
of Developmental Services be diverted at the time of an arrest from the
judicial system back to the direct custody of the Department of
Developmental Services.
