AN ACT INCREASING THE TIME FRAME FOR PRESENTING A CLAIM
AGAINST THE STATE IN CERTAIN INSTANCES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 4-148 of the general statutes be amended to increase the 1
time frame for a falsely accused criminal defendant to bring a civil action 2
against a state institution of higher education for significant harm 3
caused to the individual that is attributable to the false accusation and 4
the actions of the institution of higher education. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the time frame for a falsely accused criminal defendant to
bring a civil action against a state institution of higher education for
significant harm caused to the individual that is attributable to the false
accusation and the actions of the institution of higher education.
