AN ACT REQUIRING DRIVERS OF PARATRANSIT VEHICLES TO BE
MANDATED REPORTERS OF SUSPECTED ABUSE, NEGLECT,
EXPLOITATION OR ABANDONMENT OF ELDERLY PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-451 of the general statutes be amended to add 1
drivers of paratransit vehicles, as defined in section 13b-38k of the 2
general statutes, to the list of mandated reporters of suspected abuse, 3
neglect, exploitation or abandonment of elderly persons. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To help ensure the safety and well-being of elderly persons by adding
drivers of paratransit vehicles to the list of mandated reporters of
suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment of such persons.
