AN ACT CONCERNING RENTAL ASSISTANCE FOR SENIOR
CITIZENS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 12-170f of the general statutes be amended to remove 1
impediments for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to apply 2
for relief through the renters' rebate program by (1) waiving application 3
notarization requirements if an application was previously notarized for 4
the same rental property and renter, and (2) processing applications if 5
the renter has missed a deadline for reasons including illness and 6
incapacity. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To make it easier for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to
apply for rental relief.
