AN ACT CONCERNING THE IMPOSITION OF LINE CHARGES FOR
CERTAIN WATER LINES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit water companies 1
from imposing line charges on municipalities for water lines (1) located 2
on private property, (2) that lead to nonserviceable fire hydrants, (3) on 3
dead-end roads that do not have fire hydrants, and (4) that have no 4
connections within said municipality. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit water companies from imposing line charges on
municipalities for certain water lines.
