AN ACT CONCERNING DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING PRACTICES OF
LIMITED SERVICES PREGNANCY CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit a limited services 1
pregnancy center, with the intent to perform a pregnancy-related 2
service, from making or disseminating before the public, or causing to 3
be made or disseminated before the public, in any newspaper or other 4
publication, through any advertising device, or in any other manner, 5
including, but not limited to, through use of the Internet, any statement 6
concerning any pregnancy-related service or the provision of any 7
pregnancy-related service that is deceptive, whether by statement or 8
omission, and that a limited services pregnancy center knows or 9
reasonably should know to be deceptive. 10
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit deceptive advertising practices by limited services
pregnancy centers.
