AN ACT CONCERNING HOMEMAKER AND COMPANION SERVICES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to (1) allow a registry, in 1 
addition to a homemaker-companion agency, to conduct background 2 
checks on prospective employees, (2) expand the contents of the 3 
required notice to a consumer regarding homemaker and companion 4 
services, and (3) modify provisions on covenants not to compete 5 
between an individual and a homemaker-companion agency, registry 6 
or home health aide agency. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To better protect individuals using homemaker and companion 
services.
